Friends of the Community

Rafiki is a Kiswahili word that means 'friend'. We see ourselves as friends of the community — mental health professionals dedicated to strengthening human systems from the inside out.

Our Foundation

What We Believe

Our work is grounded in a set of core beliefs about people and communities.

People are innately good

We approach every individual and community with the assumption of goodness and potential.

Communities know their needs

Lasting change comes from within. We listen first and build on what communities already know about themselves.

Empowered families make strong communities

When families are supported and equipped, the ripple effect strengthens entire neighborhoods and institutions.
